Has anyone bought their sweaters? I tried a few that I thought were cute, but was uncertain if they would hold up to wash and wear. They are inexpensive, but if they they look like a rag after a few washings, I find it really a waste of money- something I have found with express sweaters- hold up like crap!! What has your experience been?

Yes, I did buy some of their sweathers, and I shouldn't have.

Most of them are 100% acrylic, you have to be very careful when washing, and I usually don't even dry them in the drier!. They peel, and they don't feel as soft after few washes.

I actually have one merino wool sweather from Express that held to washing much much better!

The sweater will look like its 30 years old by the 3rd time you wear it! yuck!

i actually haven't had any issues with ny&co sweaters. but i never ever dry sweaters, and they all get washed on delicate with baby detergent. i also don't wash them every time after i wear them, usually three wears and then i wash. its not like im sweating in them or anything because there is always another layer underneath. oh...and don't pay full price on anything in ny&co ever...sign up for thier email and get coupons and use thier city cash events wisely.

I bought a cardigan from there recently (with an argyle print) -- it was on sale so I was willing to risk it.  It's 100% acrylic, but it's not thin and flimsy.  I also don't put it in the drier, so I haven't had any pilling issues yet (probably washed it 3 or 4 times).  Plus I've gotten lots of compliments when I wear it, so I consider it a good buy.

NY&Co. can be kinda hit or miss, but the clothes are so cheap (especially when on sale), sometimes you can get lucky.  And I agree with relrel -- wait for a sale.
