What are you getting your man?

I'm clueless and he's no help.  We're getting each other our wedding rings and "some other stuff," as he put it.  I'm easy to shop for, but he's very difficult.


For example, no Xbox stuff (he has one with all the games programmed in it, yes, illegally), he doesn't really want an Ipod, no books (he is in a sort of book club where they come to him), no boxers (boxer briefs kinda guy), etc.


So what you guys doing?  Thanks, I know you'll give me some awesome ideas.

We got a "joint" gift this year, a new excercise bike.  I had to swear not to get him anything else besides stocking stuffers so he doesn't look like a jerk Christmas morning w/out another present for me.  Sorry, I'm no help!

I don't know yet, what about a nice jacket? Last year I got my husband one from Gap that was dark brown corduroy on the outside and the inside was lined with, what is it sherpa? You know the soft fluffy material that looks like a sheep.

So far I'm going to get him 2 books and probably some long sleeved shirts, since he really needs them.  We aren't spending much on each other this year, we bought a 42" plasma tv and a home theater system last month.


If it weren't for budget constraints, I'd get him a new everyday watch, some new shoes for work, and a nice cashmere sweater.


tina242, is your hubby into computers as well as his xbox? If so you could get him something for his comptuer, like a new video card or some kickass speakers.

kinda boring, but i know that he will love it...


it's a fireplace tools kit. 


i'm getting him his alma mater school's throw, wood, and a smore kit (we already have a fondue kit), and a nice dessert wine....kinda like a cuddle by the fire gift set.  i will probably get him some super small stocking stuffers and one bigger one...the TUMI travel toiletry kit.

I'm getting the boy a side table he wants from Pier 1, a weird head thing he wants from there also (I got a gift card from my cc rewards, conveniently), an Anthony Logistics travel set thanks to recs from this board, and some various stocking stuffers.

Here are some of the stocking stuffers I'm getting: a Star Wars book he wants (movie geek), a t-shirt from a local boutique he was eyeing, some boxers, a key to my place (yay!), and what?? I can't think of anything else! I want some really small things to put in there (not cds or dvds b/c he buys all he wants on his own). Any ideas for stocking stuffers?

My BF wants (this list is for Christmas and his 33rd b-day on Jan. 10th)



  • 10 inch Justice League action figures (I know, I know...he lets me have my Spongebob and Hello Kitty so I let him have his Justice League figures. )

  • Leather "OJ Simpson" gloves

  • Brown leather casual shoes

  • uhhh...I forgot the rest.

He needs a black wallet since his old one is bursting at the seams and is 10 years old, but hasn't asked for it. I got a Coach one for him.
