Can anyone speak to the reliability of Seiko watches? It's a brand I recognize, but I've never owned one. I'm getting my husband a nice dress watch for Christmas, and they have some good deals on Overstock:
Should I be worried about the gold tone (i.e., wearing off quickly and looking cheap)?
Also, are there any other brands that typically run < $100 that are good? (Kenneth Cole and Skagen are a couple more I found)
This is going to date me, but I bought my husband one for his high school graduation (15 years ago, we were dating then), and it still works great. He doesn't wear it anymore, but it works just fine. I bought him another about 5 years ago, and it works great too. I would definitly consider a Seiko for either my husband or myself.
My dad bought himself one maybe 5 years ago and is still using it. He seems to really like it, and I agree that the price is very reasonable for the quality.
