I went vintage shopping over the weekend and found my best purchase so far! This amazing Cream and Greenish-Gold Threaded Poncho....just in time for winter!! :o)Does anyone else have a vintage addiction and if so...any pics?
jLEAR - That Coat looks AMAZING on you! Love the rich colors and how you've styled yourself! And I love the Vintage aviators! You look too adorable! What a find!
Yes, I have a bit of a collection myself. My sister and I dig through our mom's old clothes (the little bit she has kept) and our grandmother's jewelry - luckily it seems to be an endless trove.
My latest faves that I have pics of:
Vintage cowboy boots
Vintage dress bought online - $60 - haven't worn it yet as i need a slip
Necklaces from Thrift store - $2-4 each
Most of my fave stuff are coats and jewelry from my grandmother.
Bargin Queen- Your coat is wonderful! And only a buck!
Fairlight- It was easy to give the dress away because it never looked that great on me to begin with! It was hard to accept it wasn't going to work with my big hips! hehe
Theotherjess- You can usually find vintage items at thrifts stores but you usually have to sift through a lot to find! However, they usually don't know what a piece is worth so you can get a better deal. If price isn't a huge deal, vintage shops are easy to buy from.
Vividogwear- Thanks for the compliment! I love your boots and your dress! Can I ask where you purchased it from?
Lynnie- I missed your first question about the beret- It's actually a vintage one and the place where I bought has tons more. If you can't find one, I could do a search for you! They are all under $10 I think.
I swear there are like NO vintage stores near me. I have no idea where to find them. Where do you guys normally find these great pieces? Or is vintage shopping like a genetic trait that I somehow missed out on? I swear I can never find cool things.
jLear - the boots were from an eBay auction, the dress is from www.adorevintage.com
ncshopper - seeing as how so many people here are into vintage and i don't usually have the time to sift through thrift stores, my fave is eBay for vintage or like stuff.
