FYI Redken Allsoft vs. Terax Crema
Permalink Closed

Hey guys - thought you might want to know my experience w/ these products.

I've always been very lucky with strong hair that managed to stay healthy despite constant coloring and heat styling.

After my last bout of colorings, that changed - i'm hoping it's just b/c i subjected my hair to so much coloring in such a short amount of time, and that it will eventually go back to normal, BUT -

my hair was very dry and the ends were (are) horrendous - i got two inches (two precious inches!) taken off b/c of the damage ...

i washed my hair only ever 3 or 4 days - and still it seemed very dry and coarse!  - i got the terax crema b/c of hearing such good reviews about it being a really good deep conditioner - after two or three weeks of using it, no change, and i don't even think it smells that good.

i got redken allsoft the other day and my hair feels exactly like it used to - very soft, more manageable, shinier ...

almost overnight.

so yes.  redken is good! terax is bad!

Redken allsoft did the same for me...I love it!

I like Redken products, but my hair did get used to the Allsoft after a while, and it no longer had the same effect. So I would recommend alternating it with something once in a while.

I would also reccomend buying their So Long Heat Treat if you blow dry your hair.  I use it every day and it works wonders!  My hair is so soft, shiny, and strong

I've heard the Terax is crap. I'm glad you had a good experience with the Redken. I used to use Redken in high school, and sort of forgot it existed. I want to try the Allsoft.

Indiekitten, did you use the allsoft extreme cream or the conditioner?

I use Redken Allsoft too and like it a lot.

I think I need to switch it up a bit because lately its been making my hair feel greasy, even after I wash.  I think I need to use a clarifying shampoo more often.  But overall, I'm a fan too!
