Do you put them in when your hair is dry, damp or wet?  What products du you use with them?

I put them in after my hair is dry. I then run the dryer over them a bit to warm 'em up, and then spray my "serious" hairspray on them (this is the stiff hold stuff; pump, not aerosol). Then I let them sit for about 20 mins (my hair is hard to curl).

I have very fine, very thin hair, BTW. I suspect it's probably not so much work for other girls like FP who have thicker hair.

I also have very fine, thin hair.  After I towel dry my hair, I spray on a leave in conditioner.  Then I blow dry until my hair is almost all the way dry (sometimes it is totally dry), then I roll with velcro rollers.  I use the blow dryer again on the rollers to set them.  And leave them in while I do my make up (about 10-15 minutes).  Then as I take the rollers out, I roll each section with the curling iron if I want more curl (which is more often than not).  Hope this helps!

just curious--what are velcro rollers?

All I can think of are those pink spongey ones?

FP, I am so shocked that you have fine, straight hair! Your hair always looks great. Can you tell me what size curling iron and velcro rollers you use? I have used them before, but all they do is lift my roots. I think I am using ones that are too big.

mikacat: these are velcro rollers. They are also called self-hold rollers:

I've tried to use those before (when I had longer hair) but my hair would just turn into a tangled mess trying to pull them out ---> this is literally me trying to get them out

i have pretty long hair, and i use them when my hair is damp.  sometimes i have to fasten them w/ bobby pins, but it does the job.

I use them the exact same way as FP but I use my thermal spray (that you use before flat ironing or curling) to spray before applying the heat in order to lock the curl in better.
