aw, too bad you don't want pointed toe... the steve madden coyl boots are a skinny calved girl's dream!! i got mine at lovemyshoes.com for $70 each (got black & tan). it's been a year, but i still see them around, you could probably find them if you were interested. good luck!

they are not actually this shiny, but it's a good pic. they are $74 on this site but only come in a 6.5 as far as i can tell... i just typed in "coyl" to google and looked through. you might want to type in: "steve madden" coyl black

I have had good luck with Bronx boots:

these Esprit ones look like they might run small, since they are stretch, plus there's a buckle at the top:

I tried on these Nine West ones and they weren't bad on my calves (which are about 12.5" at their widest):

I have these in the darker brown and LOVE them. They have a nice rounded toe instead of pointy or square. If you get them in a narrow size they fit a little tighter on the calves. The only thing...they were half off on Ninewest.com but now I can't find them there. This is a pic from Macy's where they are still $159 I'm debating on it because I need a black pair and I really do like my brown ones!
