I got it! UPDATED with pics

The copenhagen sweater I ordered just got delived to my office!  Here's the pic:

copenhagen sweater

I immediately ripped open the box and ran to the ladies room to try it on.  I ordered a medium, which I worried would be too big, but it wasn't - it fit perfectly.  The sleeves would have been too short in a small.  The brand is Casch Copenhagen, and I did a google search on the off chance they have on online store.  They don't, but here's the web site:

http://www.casch.dk/Index.html

The sweater material is felted wool, and the edges and seams are unfinished.  I could not figure out how to make the buttons work until I came back to my desk and looked at the picture again.  It's super confusing, because they don't line up "naturally" and there are a bunch of extra button holes.

At the moment, I am torn about whether to keep it.  Quality-wise, I'm not sure if it is worth $200.  Would that money be better spent on a crazy-soft cashmere sweater from JCrew?  But it is so unique and modern, something I am always struggling to find.  I'll take pics tonight and post them and let you guys decide!

**Ok, now that I have tried it on at home, I'm not liking it. The sleeves are too short and I can't make the collar work. Here it is IRL, let me know what you think!

My photography skills stink - I tried desperately to get some detail shots.

I think it's probably worth it, it looks like it was hard to make!

Lucky you, jj......can't wait to see the pics of you wearing it! We will help you decide whether to keep it or not!

PS It was not in my Anthro store, and the SA was mean, too.

Hmm, I'm with you on the sleeves.  Since the sweater has that kind of floppy look to it, it seems like they should be longer to look right.

Weird, too, because from the Anthro picture, it seems like they would be really long.

I like it and I think it looks nice on you.  However, I don't think it is a $200 sweater.

As a side note, someone is making a gargantuan profit margin on that sweater...felted wool and unfinished seams...It wouldn't be that difficult to make.  The collar is really the only complicated design feature.

jj, are you sure you have it buttoned up properly? the reason i ask: the pic shows it opposite of what you have... although... that could be because you're taking the photo into the mirror? it's hard to tell, but it looks really different on you than on the mannequin.

darn, i wanted so badly for it to be immediately fabulous!

I think you should send it back.  The sleeves are too short.  For $200, it would have to be perfect (for me anyway).  It doesn't sound like you LOVE it anyway, therefore, you must let it go...

After seeing it on I think you should send it back, maybe a larger size? If not check out nicholas K they have inumerable designs that are all very similar.

I thought that it was buttoned wrong too- then I realized it was the mirror. As for what you should do, I think it looks really great, even the sleeves, but I also think that you should only spend two hundred on a sweater that you really truly love and think is perfect. So, it sounds like you really aren't sure, it's too bad it didn't work out!

I thought it looked very cute, but if it doesn't make you $200 worth of happy, then I support your decision to send it back.  I think it's pretty cute, but for $200, it should be really soft and snuggly too!

Yeah, the sleeve length is a little off.  And I agree with the other girls--if I paid $200 for a sweater, I'd want it to be perfect.

It is cute.. but not $200 cute. I agree with the others! I know that must be disappointing!

Awww... totally cute and love the detail - although I agree the sleeves are too short.  Maybe a size up for some more length?

Hey everyone!  Thanks for all the great feedback!  I decided it's going back, because I can't get past the short sleeves.  I also couldn't really get the collar to work, even after playing around with it for quite a while.  No biggie, at least I saved some money for a future purchase!
