Web URL's Help -

I need to make a link to something on my web site, but don't know how to do it. What I want to do is make a link and use the name of one of my items - for instance,

"Blah blah blah, blah Jessica earrings blah blah" - only "Jessica" would be a clickale link. Can anyone show me how to do this? Many thanks -

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but what is your website?

Hmmm...are you using html?  If so, you usually put the whole link in these things <> and it should work.

NCShopper...I have tried everything I can think of but it's still not working (at least, not AFAIK). It worked here (see my response to Mikacat - but I used the same text / language (I am not up on the right term for this) and it doesn't work when I try to e-mail that to someone...I am being featured in a holiday e-mail by SheFinds and want to send them the links to specific items on my site, but I can't get the links to be links, if that makes sense.

I can't help you but I wanted to say congratulations.  It's so cool that you're being featured!

So you are trying to make the links in a web/html document or in an email? If you are trying to do it for a web page you have to use this tag.

I'm not sure how to do that in an email though since options vary from program to program but maybe your program has an option that lets you type emails in HTML format in which case the above method should work.

So you're trying to send an e-mail with the links?  I would think it would work the same way that it does here in that you can highlight the text that you want linked and then type in the link.  I don't know why it isn't working.

But congrats on getting featured!  Your site looks wonderful!

Try this:

blah blah blah <a href=www.whatever.com>Jessica</a>

ETA:  Make sure that your address is in double quotes.  It wouldn't show up after I posted it.

Thanks, ladies, for the compliments on the feature. The e-mail comes out today and I will see what happens with it.

I finally just sent the whole (long) links from my web pages and apparently that worked for them, because they sent me the preview last night.

txgal, I will give your info a try and see what happens, so I know for future reference how in the heck to do this. *s*
