My husband and some friends are going to Mexico for a few days over new years. The place we are staying and the little town are very rustic. No electricity, which means no hair dryer (eeek!) or AC. We've gone before, so I know what I am getting myself into . Most of my time will be spent in tanks and skirts, but I want to get a cute dress for new years because we are going to a fairly trendy place. Here's a link if you want to take a peek:
Because I can't iron it, it has to travel well, so I am thinking cotton jersey or silk. And because it will be hot, something loose and drapy. Do you like these or have any other suggestions?? TIA!
I'm nervous the pink one isn't bra-friendly and won't look good commando, so I searched for some other options. Would these be ok or too dressy?
you are a lucky girl--i love that area of mexico! the pink is my favorite, too, but they are all really cute. the brown one would maybe be a bit more comfortable, since it has the blouson top, if you are going for a big dinner.
Of what you've chosen, I like the brown blouson dress the best. I've seen that Anthro one IRL and it seems like the colors would be difficult to wear.
While I like the strapless pink one...it doesn't seem like THE dress.
Maybe a Rachel Pally dress would be nice? They travel really well, and the modal/spandex blend is very accommodating to things like large dinners. There's a bunch of colors on the thefashionpulse.com.
I'm thinking of wearing my sage green full-tie tube dress to my Christmas party (I'm in Los Angeles).
