I want to give him something thoughtful yet useful.

Sterling silver cufflinks.  Both the box and links will be engraved with his initials.  He's about to graduate and start a new job..so I thought this might be nice?

I'm also going to include a dvd of one of his favorite movies and a few small goofy/stocking stuffer type items.

I love monogrammed cufflinks, but does he own a lot of french cuff shirts? If not, then maybe get him a shirt as well, that way he won't have to buy something to be able to wear your gift! I've tried so hard to buy previous bfs monogrammed cufflinks, but none of them owned enough french cuff shirts to get use out of them!

I love french cuff shirts and cufflinks, and I think it is a great gift.

I think it's great!  Even if he doesn't have a shirt, some day he will, and then he'll have this beautiful cufflink set already.  Great idea!

Beautiful, and very thoughtful.  I agree with aclassicbeauty about the shirt... you could probably find a nice white one at a department store for < $50.  Then, after the holidays, you should have him take you out on a date where he can wear them out with you.
