So the bf needs some general interview-worthy shoes. All he wears is Chucks, so that's obviously not gonna fly!! He says he wants low-top Doc Martins, but I can't really find anything without the chunky sole. I just don't think that's appropriate. Can you help me find some non-hideous man shoes? Oh, they should be black please, and he wears a size 9.5-10, depending on the shoe.

Thanks soo much!

You are so right about the dr. martins. I do not understand how they think these are = to a dress shoe. My ex used to wear dr. martin boots with $500 dollar suits?????? I like these better.

Alfani These alfani from macys look like a nicer version of the dr martin. oh and only $60

I really like the square toe on these better a bit dressier I think also $60ishAlfani

There are lots more I like but are more expensive, I didn't know your price rance so I tried to stay reasonable since he may not wear them too oftem, I could be wrong on this. Try macys and aldo. Kenneth cole also has some great mens shoes.

i would also try kenneth cole. they have some really polished styles but they seem to prefer a square-toe style. also check out aldo... they have a huge selection there. my man-friend buys most of his man-shoes there.

$60 range sounds about right as he won't be wearing them very often at all. I showed him the post and he likes the lace up square-toed Steve Madden's the best if that gives you anything to go off of. Thanks so much guys :)

my husband has low-top dr martens (black) and they look surprisingly nice with dress clothes! i am not remembering a super clunky sole, though...
