lilykind--i'm so jealous you went to the rachel pally sale! was it crowded? did they have a lot of stuff? i had prior commitments all weekend, but i was really wanting to go to that one...grr.
It was a really good sample sale. I would've bought a lot more if I wasn't trying to control my spending. There were not horro stories of crazy lines or people yanking clothes from each other. In the communal dressing room, everyone was giving advice to each other on what to get and not get.
They had discounts on the current fall/winter collection. Just about every single thing Rachel designed this season (dresses, trousers, gauchos, obi belts, tops...etc. etc.) was there at around 60 - 75% off. It was very nicely organized hanging on racks or
They also had some stuff in spring/summer colors that were ridiculously rock-bottom prices. Dresses were $20-$30, the jumpsuit that I bought at another sample sale for $55 was marked down to $25, tess were $12, gauchos were 2/$40...so much great stuff!
Plus, it seems like it was at her parents' house or something. She was there, her dad was working the register and her mom was helping command the sales troops outside. Rachel is very sweet, as was everyone else there.

OMG - i'm so jealous. As a fellow knitter, I completely understand & you must share. What mohair yarn did you get & what is your new project?

Oooh! I am sooo jealous! I knew I should have gone! The # of sample sales this weekend was incredible but I was trying to control myself too! Awesome buys on the bubble dresses!
