Restylane & Botox

Hi ladies- I'm 25 and, for the past couple of years, I've tried to do all the right things for my skin- sunscreen each day (penance for my tanning bed days in high school), good moisturizers, exfoliants, etc. A year ago, I started to notice a smile line on the left side of the face (nasolabial fold) and, just very recently, I see the slight start of a line on my forehead (very, very slight- in fact, nobody would be able to see it but me). This has all started to get my very worried. I've been reading about how younger women are getting procedures like restylane & botox done as almost like a preventive measure. It seems many docs say the earlier you start (as long as it's done in moderation and by a good derm), the more natural and better your results will be long-term. My derm has been getting botox for years and you'd never be able to tell- she looks gorgeous and totally natural. Has anyone tried this or known anyone who has? Any thoughts? TIA!

Hi Rosey -

I've been looking into Restylane myself...  I have deep wrinkles on my forehead that I am extremely self consious about.  I was thinking that it might be more natural looking than Botox?  I would love to hear if anyone else has tried it!

My DH uses Restylane for some deep creases he has in his forehead. It does work however there is maintainence and upkeep you need to consider. If you at starting at 25 actually if you are starting at any age you have to go back approx every 6 months to get upkeep or the wrinkles just come back. If you're ok with that and the expense related to that then go for it I say!
