OKay this might be tmi but you guys have to tell me if I'm crazy to think this or not. I'm starting to think I might be pg again!!! Although Hubby and I had unprotected sex ONCE, I'm having a few symptoms of pregnancy:
1. I'm about 3-5 days late (hard to tell b/c my periods werent that regular), and there is no sign that my period is coming anytime soon. Usually I get cramps for one or two days before it starts.
2. I've been nauseous almost every day this week after coming home on the metro, which is exactly when I experienced my nausea/morning sickness when pg
3. I'm feeling incredibly nauseous right now, and I haven't eaten lunch yet. Before when I was pg I always got morn sickness right before eating, when I was hungry (like now)
4. I've been having night sweats all week, last night had to change t shirt and underwear b/c they were soaked (sorry if tmi)
we had unprotected sex I think only about 6-10 days after my period last time. Could I have ovulated that early?? Even though L is only 6 months old, I'm in my 30s so it wouldn't be bad if I was pg again already (and doctor said it was fine medically). I don't know what to think. Should I take a pg test when I get home or am I being silly?? Please give me some objective insight. What would you think and do if you were me? Am I overreacting?
OK, I took the test and it was negative. At least now I know! Thx for your help everybody!
well, since you are already 3-5 days late, i'd take a pg test. i don't think you're being silly at all. you could very well have ovulated... 6-10 days after your period ended?... i think so.
omg... the nausea though... i'm so sorry you're feeling that. take the test... it'll put your mind at ease knowing the results.
i thought i was pregnant once before too and i got nauseous and stuff, my mind was playing tricks on me though cause i took 2 pregnancy test to make sure and they both came out negative.
I'd totally take the test. I wouldn't be able to stand the anticipation. But, sometimes when you think there might be an issue (hence, noticing the 3-5 days late thing), your mind convinces you you're having other symptoms, i.e. the nausea, etc., when it could just be nerves or stress or your body/mind playing tricks on you.
Make haste, and get thyself a stick on which to pee.
6-10 days after your period ended? How long is your period usually? I'll assume 5 days for calculations sake, putting possible ovulation between cycle days 11 and 15 which would totally be feasible. Stranger things have happened.

no seriously, have you been really stressed lately? i didn't get my period for 4 months after i went back to work when christian was 5.5 months old because i was so stressed - and i was nauseous and dizzy too. i swore i was pregnant, but knew i wasn't.
still go pee on that stick though, and give us an update ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks girls!! ha, I love all the pee-on-a-stick comments. I know I need to do it asap. I'm at work now but I'm leaving at 4:30 today. I'm planning on drinking lots of water before then so I'll have to pee a lot when I get home. Hopefully that will be enough to give me an accurate reading (even though this will not be first morning urine, the most accurate). I kind of doubt that I am, BUT it is really really weird that I'm having the night sweats and nausea again. Those night sweats were such a PITA, it better be for a reason! I can't imagine having them again and not being pg--but I guess it could happen if my hormones are all wacked. Thanks everyone! I'll post an update after the pee!
Karina--I haven't really been stressed, just busy. When you got pg the second time did you know right away? Do you kind of just know when you get the all-too-familiar symptoms or is it like being pregnant for the first time?

I knew right away. I felt symptoms 2 weeks after conception. The symptoms were even stronger after I missed my period.
I got pg when my baby was only 3 months old and after having sex on what I thought was a whole week after my "time" to be fertile. I knew it immediately - like literally an hour afterwards. I took a test a week later, so if you are, it should show up on a stick by now. It's scary at first, thinking about how close together they are. But now it's great!!! They are best play buddies!
Thanks, Karina and MissMee, that was helpful. do you think the test will be accurate this late in the day? I'm literally counting down the minutes until 4:30.
Tests now work at any part of the day, so you should be fine. If you're like me, though, you'll take it at least 3 times no matter the answer the first time!
alb, I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, but I have a question for Karina, MissMee and the other moms. I do not understand the whole "I just knew" thing -- how do you know? Is it physical or mental? Does this thing only happen if you're trying? My SIL said when she got pregnant (it was a surprise) her entire body was different all of a sudden -- her hair, the way she slept, etc., and that's how she knew.
I am NOT planning to have kids anytime soon, but I have always wondered about this phenomenon!

I just knew this time too.
It started with my hair. I straighten it, it's naturally curly, and I started having the hardest time getting it to stay straight all day. And it was full of volume. Next I noticed that by mid day I could hardly keep my eyes open, seriously though about napping at red lights on my dive home! I missed by 1 day and I knew I got the test and I was right... I think it's physical and mental, I do think you are more actute to it after you've been pg. once.
