quick example, you get the idea..


what do you put across the brackets?  how are they spaced? do they sell just plain shelves?  what would look nice but is cheap?  i don't want everything to fall off my shelves because i do it wrong and i don't want to spend a lot.  and i'm ignorant on the topic of shelving.

You can go to Home Depot and buy regular wood. That's what we did. Is this what you are talking about.

Oh, I made the cutest shelves using shelf brackets.  They were inspired by some I seen at Anthro, although I'm not sure if theirs were fabic covered or just painted, but they had similar pom pom trim.  Here are pictures:





I bought a piece of plywood from Lowes, precut.  Then fabric wrapped it and secured it with a staple gun.  Then using fabric glue, applied the trim.  It was super easy and turned out super cute.  Hope that helps or inspires you

We have the brackets you posted, and bought a piece of marble shelf from home depot.  It's about 14 inches long, and it was finished/polished and ready to go.  My DH just estimated the spacing so it looked proportional.  It was super easy!

The wood was less than $12. Maybe like $8 or $9. I had to stained mine so I bought wood stainer. I don't remember how much the stainer cost.
