From the Rock INXS show? I saw the band on a show today pimping their album & i was thinking about him.

I know that Mark Burnett offered him a gig with the house band & to open on the tour for INXS & he turned it down, but other than that I haven't heard anything. Being a local- and obviously in the music scene - I was wondering if you had any info...

This is SO weird, but I was totally thinking about him today too.  I heard Mr. Brightside and started daydreaming about MMMMMMMarty all over again.  Sigh. . .

Anyway, I planned to post and ask about him but you beat me, Laken.

hmm-where did you hear that he turned down the tour w/INXS???  That's odd - as far as I know, they are the opening band for INXS' tour - if you go to the Love Hammer's website, www.lovehammers.com, and click on tour - you'll see all the dates.

Other than that...they just played a show in Chicago last week and they are playing another next month.  They are also playing that song Trees on our alternative rock station here all the time.  I miss Marty!!

Wow, really I have no clue as to where I heard that, but I did - that he turned down the deal with THE HOUSE BAND & went back to Love Hammers - I had no idea that they agreed to have them open for INXS. Crazy cool. That was news to me, but I 'm glad to hear it. I totally want to go to the concert. I miss Marty too. And I must admit - I saw the Pretty Vegas video the other day * with all the studio crap done too it.. mwweehhh, not that impressed. I liked it better in the show.

ejc - sorry to beat you to it but wow - weird we were both thinking about it. Maybe their marketing is working!

Honestly, I'm glad INXS picked JD, because I now think he is a joke and I wouldn't want that to happen to Marty.  I hate that song Pretty Vegas - it has been beat to death by the radio and I just think it's bad....

I think JD is hot and he does an awesome job with INXS' songs. The first minute I heard him I knew he'd win.

Marty is great and super talented but not the right fit for that gig. Each are equally talented and I'm happy that they're both going to receive great exposure. Anyone is better than any of those girls, they were all awful.
