or anyone else in teh nyc area who might be interested. inhabit is having a sample sale. i just came back from it & they have tons of cashmere sweaters in lots of different styles (crew, vneck, tneck) for $70 and other styles for $100. the sale is at 1441 broadway b/t 40th & 41st, the 31st floor and is on until friday. hth in your search for sweaters.
they take cash & credit card. i think they had a really excellent selection esp. for basic sweater styles (crew, vneck, tneck) . i know they had some non-basic styles too but i wasn't really prepared for it. they had tons of colors and sizes, and it wasn't crowded or anything like that. and you could try stuff on. they had a v-neck that is kind of what you wanted, but i'm not sure how deep the v is since i didn't try it on. again most of the styles were $70. i got a black tneck (which i need), and long cardigan, and a chunky tneck from the sample rack.
oh honey- thanks so much! were your sweaters cashmere? i'm in times square almost every day- so i can stop by during lunch. how long were you in there? i want it to be kinda quick and sneaky =)
the sweaters at the inhabit sale are cashmere. it's actually really easy to sort through b/c of that, and they have them grouped by style. i don't think i was in there for more than 30 minutes, and i spent some time rummaging through the sample rack, so you can definitely pop in and out. hope you see stuff you like.
honey- i went today- it was a great sale. i only bought one thing but now i wish i had bought more. damn, don't think i'll have time tomorrow =/ i would go back and buy a thicker black or dark grey sweater in the crew neck or vneck. i also like a thick black cardigan with pockets on the front. i ended up getting a sweater near identical to this one- slightly lower crew neck, color and all, for $70. i'm sure its nicer than the jcrew one- it has finished edges instead of rolled edges.
