did anyone watch? i watched the first hour and then flipped between that and amazing race for the second hour.
how freaking amazing do they all look? with the exception of the one girl (the one who was the first female voted off), they all look so good! like totally different people. even caroline rhea looks like she slimmed down some.
i'm glad matt won, i think he needed it the most (psychologically). seth is a hottie now, and so is suzi! i'm glad i won't have to see her (or matt) cry anymore though.
i love this show. i wish they'd have something like this for people who are just really lazy and only need to get in shape or lose 5-10 lbs (ie. me). with bob as the trainer

I agree, I would totally go on a show where I just had to loose a few pounds and get in shape! I agree also about the crying thing, stop already! And the female trainer, what was with her top? I have slutty bras that cover more then that did! She is wierd. I really enjoyed watching this show this season and I really like what they did with the final show.
I watched this, even though I had only seen a couple episodes this season and wasn't too interested.
It was GOOD. I was especially moved when Matt was summarizing his homecoming with his old drinking buddies. It was really sad to me that all his friends were focused on was drinking and memorializing the fun drunk fat guy he used to be. He said it felt like they just wanted him to be the old Matt and that he felt like he didn't know where he fit anymore. And I thought about this for a minute....why do men treat their friends this way? We women have it pretty good, for the most part, groups of girlfriends would be happy if we made a positive change like Matt did, whether that be quitting drinking, losing weight, or bettering ourselves in any way...but men (and I know not all guys are like this) seem to discourage change and feel intimidated by someone who "breaks the mold."

lorelei - I have a girl friend that is going through this with one of her friends too. They were all a little "chubby" (me too, so i say that with extreme love) & she has lost nearly 60 pounds since the beginning of the year on WW. One of her friends constantly makes ugly remarks to her when they go out to eat & says stuff like "why can't you just order straight off the menu" when she orders fish with no butter or whatever. It's really hurtful for her. This girl has even gone so far so to talk to her sister about her having an eating disorder - which is SO not true - she is in an 8 now, she's just losing weight in a healthy way, although she does run every single day & she has a trainer, so the friend translates that to an eating disorder. Her other really close friend has been inspired & has lost about 20 pounds herself, I just think the other girl is starting to feel left out & not good enough because she hasn't made positive changes herself? I don't know - sounds like a similar situation though. That's really sad.

I watched all two hours of the show last night and while I was stunned to see how great they all looked (with the exception of the woman that only lost 16 pounds, who didn't look bad, just not as dramatic as everyone else), I thought the finale was ridiculously long. I just wanted to see them, see what they used to look like and some other stuff and then see who won. Two hours was a bit excessive.
i watched it for the first time last night and thought it was pretty great as well. i was wondering why one of the contestants looked so familiar, so i looked her up online today, and i think i went to elementary school with her. how cool!
