I know this should probably go in home & garden but I want to do this today so I need the traffic. I have a sliding glass door & it is....filthy. I mean really gross. So I just cleaned the inside & it really didn't do any good - it is mostly gross on the outside. Have you ever squirted your outside windows down with a garden hose first? I know they make those spray things that you can use & get at Home Depot or whatever, but my car is in the shop so I am on foot today (ie, that isn't going to happen). I just think it will take me about a billion years to clean this thing with windex & paper towels & that maybe the hosing would knock the groddy off (cobwebs, dirt)

UGHHHH - you ever notice how you don't notice how dirty something is until you clean it?

You should definitely hose it down first - there shouldn't be any problem doing that.  It should be well sealed, so leaking won't be a problem (I'm assuming it doesn't when it rains?).  It will make clean up go a million times faster!  Ugh.  I hate cleaning.  Have fun!
