How Often Do You Wear Your Cowboy Boots?

just wondering for those of you who bought cowboy boots (years ago, last year, recently, etc..)...do you wear them?  were they worth the price this year....not as an investment piece, but as a "this year" piece?

just wondering because it was a conversation my friend and i were having the other day....

Luckily, I have a black pair that I bought 10 (eeeek!) years ago.  Back then, I was in college and wore them almost daily.  But now that I work in corporate america, I only wear them occasionally on the weekends because I have lots of other cute shoes competing for my attention.

I bought mine years ago ( I was dating a Bull rider and wanted him to think I was a cowgirl)

But I wear mine all the time, have to stop though cause they are making my feet hurt, there is no support in those things.

I bought some Steve Madden slouchy cowboy boots at the beginning of october and I them! They're so comfy! I got them in saddle brown, and they go with a lot of my stuff.  I can't wear them to work, but I wear them on weekend a lot.  I haven't scared up the guts to wear them with my green cord skirt.  I really want to try it, but I always chicken out.

Mine were DH's...beautiful, classic black Tony Lama's. I snagged them from him 7 years ago, when we were first dating.

I love them (I wear a size 10 ladies' shoe so can fit in DH's boots with thick socks). They don't really fit him - too narrow for his feet - so I inherited them. And I get lots of compliments on 'em. Now I want a brown pair with some cool detailing on the foot part (since I don't wear cowboy boots much with skirts) but am not buying some trendy boot. I want the real thing, since the ones I have are *so* comfortable.

atleast once a week. I have 3 pairs- black, caramel and chocolate brown. I swore up and down I would never wear cowboy boots (I live in a cowboy town) but the first time I tried my black ones on I got converted- I love them.

LOL!

i bought mine on ebay for $20 before the "cowboy boot" phenomenon started...  i have worn them 1 time.  ridiculous... but if it justifies it, i wore a pair of pale tan leather ones when i was 8 or 9 so much that my parents had to resole them 2 times for me!

I saw a pair about 1 year ago from Report, orig price $120.  Absolutely loved it, but I wasn't going to pay $79 when I'm not making any $$.  Late summer I saw the same pair $30 and bought it.  BUT I haven't worn it once!  Bad me!  The thing is that it's suede, so I don't wanna get it dirty!!  (OMG, then WHY did I buy it!?)

I wanted them since summer but glad I put it off since they became a huge trend.  I am looking at less obvious cowgirl style without the stitching.  I think the Born Shavano boot is great looking and won't feel dated by next fall.

Now if I was to wear this boot next fall, I would feel behind the trend and outdated.

this was my point to my friend, who was going to buy something else that was trendy, but soooo not her (if that makes sense).  i love cowboy boots, but they're not me AT ALL (oh how i wish they were).  they remind me of hats, i'll buy hats but never have the balls to wear them so they just sit there.

on that note...i think a lot of you ladies proved me wrong ().  it seems like a lot of you got your money's worth out of them (for those of you who bought them).  thanks for helping a girl out...

Are you talking about the pink Fryes, Mia?  I still L.O.V.E. those.  You may have spent a crapload on them, but they are gorgeous and will look great for the rest of your life.  Even if you only wear them 2 or 3 times/year, your overall cost per wear isn't going to be that bad.

This is how I rationalize things.  I wish I had the money to buy them when they were available.
