A friend is getting married next weekend. I've been asked to do the scripture reading in the wedding. I've searched for several outfits with no luck. It will be a casual wedding, most in dress pants and sweaters. Nothing elaborate at all! I spoke with the bride and she just said black pants and a dress shirt of some sort. I have ordered the jacket to go with these pants that I love. I was thinking that wearing the suit would be more "dressy" then just wearing the pants and a sweater or a button-up.
1. Could this work??
2. What would you wear under the jacket??
3. What accessories would you add?
It's a wool/cashmere blend (really soft flannel wool), dark charcoal with a thin white pinstripe.
I second rar210's suggestion for a pretty camisole underneath. If it's a daytime wedding, I'd pick something white or a light color. If it's a nighttime wedding, red would be really beautiful. I'd go with very delicate, feminine accessories to soften the suit but still keep the overall look more low-key:
