What are your favorite items for under $10 or so that I can use for stocking stuffers or for our office holiday party ($10 is the limit)??  Somebody mentioned the C.O. Bigelow mentha lip tent (beauty section) at Bath and Body Works, which is a great idea.  I also will get a $10 starbucks gift card.  I'm looking for cute fun but useful things along those lines.  Thanks!

You're talking my language with an under $10 budget. Here are some things I'm getting for friends that fall in the under $10 category (sad I know):


cookies/muffins/cakes all wrapped up prettily with a recipe card attached


personalized mousepads - get a regular mousepad, put a piece of fabric over it (cut it closely), glue on pics from magazines or photos or whatever, laminate and voila! a personalized mousepad


rose salve lip balm (always good)


magnets (made or bought)


$10 gift certificate to the movies


Hello Kitty stapler (not sure if that's office appropriate where you work but here the peeps would love it)


and then I'm attaching (to all my homemade gifts this year) a contribution to a local food bank in their names - the cards that come with the donation don't say how much the donation was for so it works out nicely


scarf from Old Navy (with a cool applique on it if you're into being crafty)


mini-manicure set - a nail polish, buffer/file all put in a pretty silk bag or tied with a pretty ribbon


okay, that's all I have so far. I'll post more if I come up with some other ideas.

I am always reminded of the Seinfeld episode when people do this.  You know, the one where George gives people certificates of donations to "The Human Fund"?


ETA:  Cheapy jewelry is always good too.  F21 and Target have great selection for under $10.
