down from your jackets? you know, the cute little jackets that are in? i have a few and i feel their too long. when i have my arms down straight they almost cover my thumb.

It depends on the length of the jacket, but if you are talking about the little fitted crop jacket I would say somewhere around your wrist or maybe even shorter, as long as it is proportional.

what kind of jacket are you talking about specifically, because i agree that makes a difference.  the general rule like for overcoats and suit jackets is that they should come down to just where the base of your thumb attaches to your hand.

I've heard that the hem should come midway between your wrist and knuckles.

Jacket sleeves are always WAY too long for me!

suit jackets should be almost knuckle-length, I think. My fitted, trendier blazers are about wrist-length.
