LV all the way. I know they got all "popular" and some people don't like them, but they are made amazing. I have one that is 10 years old and I still love it and it looks amazing. They have some great ones in the Epi collection if you don't like logos. My second suggestion is Gucci, they have standed the test of time also.

I agree with the others: LV or Gucci--- also Chanel is a good one too... whenever i look at "investment bags" i think- will this hold up until i am 85 and want to pass it along to my granddaughter? that is my question to myself...

Are there any Gucci styles you ladies recommend that are around $700? I'm seriously considering the Speedy 25 or 30 though...I've been kind of eyeing this one for a while.

Hey, you may want to stop by a local Gucci boutique if you have one. They usually have sales in December & you can get a much nicer bag for less. Some guccis:

I am a huge proponent of Speedy 25s and 30s. I my Speedy 25 and I think it's worth every cent. I too see an investment bag as something I'd want to hand down to my granddaughter or favorite niece or whatever when I'm old.

Maybe look at some Ferragamo bags...some of the slightly smaller bags are beautiful, classy, and around $700 (especially if you can find them on sale).

Also, my mom has a GORGEOUS LV damier canvas tote from 1997 (it was $695 at the time)...it's so beautiful and still VERY much in style. I wish I had it...hehe.

Check out Gucci.. Presale started Monday here in Houston and alot of the fall bags are 30-40% off... I'm ready for an investment piece myself.. but I didn't see anything I liked there which was too baad..
