Hey girls!  I need to get a new handbag, and I'm a little limited in price unfortunately.  I was going to get a Lauren Merkin bag or the Fiore Jane bag, but since I am seriously considering becoming a SAHM, my husband and I are budgeting ourselves very closely and I can't spend a lot of money on clothes and accessories right now.  I'm looking for a cool, funky but classic handbag that will last me through several seasons.  I really like Lauren Merkin, DKNY, Francesco Biasia, Temma Dahan, and Jocasi bags, but my budget is limited to under $200.  I don't want a knock off or logo bag and it must be real leather.  Is there any chance I can find something unique and cool for such a low price?  I've checked bluefly, blupyxie, activeendeavors, shopbop & anthro already.  Would love any ideas you guys might have.


Oh, here are a couple of bags that I've liked (so you can see what my taste/style is):


this Biasia bag looked really cool in green in a recent magazine add (from their spring 05 collection), but this place is apparently out of business (they have these in a larger style on sale everywhere, but they're not as cute as this small one):

I'm going through the same thing right now. I need a brown bag I really want to limit myself to under $200 but all the awesome bags are just a bit over.

Do you have a color preference?

I really like Jocasi bags but I haven't seen many for under $200.

Here's on from Blaec for $195 but it's sold out until next month.



Rachel Nasvik bags are really cool and are normally over $300 but there are some on sale on her website for $100 and $115 - obviously because they are more spring/summer colors but I think they could work for winter as well.



Oh if you are ok with a metallic or non-brown/black bag I have seen good deals on Rapp and Posavek bags recently
$125
$180 comes in metallic blue, white, purple, ash red and lilac
$195 comes in lavendar and mulberry


Also I know you said it must be leather but I love this (cord w/ leather accents) for $116

ALB-bJocasi/b Manhattan Bagthis bag is $209. On the bottom left of the ASOS site there's a little american flag icon. When you click it, it converts the currency.


I love Jocasi bags and I love that this one can be slung across your body.


I would check T.J.Maxx too, I see Francesco Biasia and DKNY bags there all the time

Wicked- Yes, the ship to the U.S.- and quickly too!!  In the past (before they implemented their online store) I just called directly and spoke to a live person who converted the amount into dollars on the phone for me...don't know if they have a currency converter on the site- I haven't seen one.
