Has anyone seen reasonably priced fitted, thin/sheer turtlenecks to wear under other tops or dresses? I have all these fantasy outfits that I would like to put together but let me tell you, regular turtlenecks are WAY TO BULKY! :(
Gap has some sale turtlenecks-I swear I almost bouhgt 20 of them because they fit so well. They are $9.95, very stretchy and lightweight. I wore a black one under a dress like this but in teal:
im a turtleneck freak. i think that they do "something" to the shape of my face. ive found an awesome one at h&m, it comes in black, cream, and a dark purpley shade. i bought both the black and cream, they were about twenty or so, can't remember exactly. but they are perfct. very thin and silky, but somehow warm enough to wear with a thermal on underneath. they aren't bulky at all and they are nice and long. i can't stand shirts that hit right at my belt, i want them to be long enough that when i bend forward in a chair that no one can see my back skin.
jen: how long are those gap turtlenecks? i might need some more colors...

Jcrew tissue tees and their slightly sheer long ribbed tees all come in turtles I think. I know the tissue tees were 2 for 30 dollars a couple weeks ago, and I'm sure the sheer ribbed will go on sale pretty soon. They are very comfy, long and pretty fitted.
I second the Gap t-neck recommendation. They are a stretchy, knit jersey fabric, on the thin (but not sheer) side, and they are on sale right now. I don't have one, but my friend does, and it looks really hot on her!
