When i blow-dry my hair...
Permalink Closed

It gets really frizzy from the heat. Is there something i could use before or after that will prevent that from happening? My hair is usually not frizzy at all when it dries naturally, but when i use a blow dryer, it does. Any suggestions?

what do you use currently?  are you trying to blow dry it straight or curly?  to keep my natural curl, i use ecoly thyme volumizing gel mousse and blow dry with a diffuser.  if you're trying to blow dry your hair straight and it's getting frizzy chances are your technique may be off--use a roller brush and high heat and work section by section.  oh my friend also loves this flat iron called maxi-glide for straight non-frizzy hair.  hth!

This happens to me too.  I use a hair cream and sometimes a hair serum beforehand (Matrix and John Freida are my favorites, but anything works for me).

i use a shine gloss afterwards when mine looks this way.  i just smooth it through the hair and it calms the frizzies!

I use either F. Fekkai Glossing Cream, Beyond the Zone Get-n-Creamed, or Fructis Long-n-Strong leave in cream. You can use them before and/or after.

Just wanted to note that Biosilk Therapy has alcohol in it, and in the end will be drying and damaging for your hair.

I recommend Redken's SoLong Heat Treat - you spray it on before you blow dry, and it makes your hair very silky.

Before I blowdry, I use an anti-frizz straightening balm and post blowdry I use a shine serum (currently John Frieda Brilliant Brunette).  And if it's more frizzy than usual, I take a straightening iron to it.
