Sounds like she sees you as some sort of threat. Are you and your brother really close? Some people are so jealous that they can't handle it if the object of their love has close relationships with other people, especially family.  What a bitch!

What a bitch.  Still, if someone said it to me, because I am my own worst personal nit-picker, I would be seriously curious and probably ask them for some specifics. 


Not exactly the same thing, but ten years ago a friend told me, after she had known me a while, that she had hated me when she first met me and she explained some dialogue we had that had annoyed her upon first meeting.  We were good friends by the time she told me this, but I always kept that in my mind...that even if she had judged me wrongly, I had somehow behaved in a way she found off putting.  I appreciated the honesty.  Not that it's my problem to correct that for people, but it's a good humble thing to keep in my mind, just my opinion though, I don't let things like this rule my life.
