None of my skinny black pants fit well enough anymore. Can anyone recommend a pair that is stretchy, but won't sag in the knees and bum by lunchtime?
I am looking for mainly cotton but not knit/ponte, and I need pockets. (At least front or back, not necessarily both.)
Midrange/mall store price point - Margiela's pants are great, but they aren't in the budget. I was thinking BR, but I don't see anything on their site that's truly skinny other than leggings; Ann Taylor ditto. Gap has a cute pair but alas no pockets.
Size 6 if TTS - would possibly go smaller for a really skinny fit. Ankle inseam, I guess.
The Martin Skinny at BR have gotten great reviews all over the place. I haven't tried them yet, but will soon (one of my 2 favorite pairs of black pants has just about bit the dust, so...)
overview Fit: Sits below the waist. Straight through the hip and thigh. Inseams: Short: 31", Regular: 33", Long/Tall: 36". Front zippered pockets. Rear welt pockets.
YESSS get them! I have two pairs and love both. I always receive compliments. If you want ankle length, get "regular" as I am 5'4" and regular fit me in a cropped-ish way. I bought "tall" length for the days when I want a bit of bunching.
Also, re the price, BR has been running a lot of 40% and 30% promotions lately and they're often available on ebay.
The site's styling does not do them justice. Some better pics:
Welp, plan B happened - I went to H&M and found two pairs for cheap, one ankle, one full length. At least I won't feel bad if I go up or down a size and dump them.
