but with a lower heel?  I need to be able to walk in them a ton, plus not tower over the boy.  I would prefer a nice rich brown, non suede.  I want them to wear over jeans and also with my new red wrap dress, which i hope fits!

What about these in brown?  They are from JCP - I have some that are very similiar and I love them.

Couldn't find a pic online, but I got a pair of boots from ann taylor, they have a kitten heel, and even have a tread on the bottom, so you don't slip, they are super super cute, somewhat pointy heel, and the zipper goes up the back of the boot, witha  cute tassel on the end.  They aren't online, but I got them at teh store, they are soo comfortable, I live in them.  And I have to walk around campus all day.

These pretty much aren't anything like what you posted but they're on sale for $69 at anntaylorloft.com.  1 1/2" stacked heel.
