Maybe you have realized that the love you give and receive from just living life is much greater high than what any drug can do for you.
Congratulations and i've got a huge smile on my face today and probably all day as recognition of your accomplishment. Hell, maybe i'll even go buy myself something to celebrate (that was sick, I know - I love to shop).
Congratulations, Collette! It's amazing and wonderful that you not only recovered from it physically but that you were able to get past that and start a new life.
I think you are an awesome human being. Being able to recover from that. Thank you so much for sharing this. You never know who is reading this board and the struggles they are going through. You just might have touched a life.
I'm so glad you're not dead but alive, well and happy
I was shocked when I read your post. Thank you for sharing. You are an awesome woman -- kudos to you for successfully getting through that time in your life and becoming a happy, healthy person.
WOW - I just read your post, and it reminds me of my brother, he's somewhat a recovering addict himself, but you - YOU DID IT, and you've done it for 14 yrs. - that's A BLESSING IN ITSELF (brought tears to my eyes)! Way to go, I'm proud of you, keep up the good work, and happy b-day a little early (when is it?)

i always knew you were amazing, i just never had any idea just how amazing! your posts are always so wise, and written with such perspective and gratitude and now i have an inkling as to how you became so wise and strong.
i applaud you and am honored to have been one of the recipients of such information.
what an incredible story — it sent chills through my entire body as i read it and each of the consecutive posts made by this amazing group of suportive girls.
Collette, I want to know you IRL. I'm so glad you told us your story. You are so strong and courageous! (I know it's redundant by this time but it's true.) Thanks so much for sharing. I can't imagine going through that at 14 (ever actually). You are light years ahead of most people when it comes to knowing what life is all about. You just made me want to be a braver person.
You are very stong, amazing, and wonderful person. I honestly believe that there is a reason you didn't die that day. There is a reason you are still here- because someone else needed you!!
Thank you so much for sharing that story.
If you don't mind me asking- clearly your parents know- what do they think now? (They must think you are amazing for having come such a long way) and also are you married and does your husband know? If not you would tell your husband if you were married?
That story made me tear up - at work!!
