i bought something just a couple of hours ago that i've decided is too pricey- it was about $250.  So i want to return it, but the girl didn't put one of those barcodes on my item that says "required for return" because it didn't have any tags on it.  So now i'm scared i wont be able to return it even though i have my receipt.  What should i do?

I am sure you will be fine, I worked at Nordstorm a few years ago and they had those same stickers that we put on stuff and we always took returns back with no problem.

i know- nordstrom is just so good though.  not sure how bloomies is-all i remember is this HORROR story of my friend who tried to exchange an XS for a S, had her receipt and everything, but they wouldn't help her because she had no sticker.  I really really hope it isn't still like this- i wasn't even given a sticker!!

Return it tomorrow, SA will probably remember you if he/she is there. I think you should be fine if you have a receipt. Plus the SA should have made a tag. Just explain the story to them and if they don't believe you.

the only problem is it takes an hour to get there- i was gone today from 9am to 10 pm- got off of work at 6.  Its SUCH a pain to get to.  there is a somewhat closer one- though i still don't wanna have to go! wah!  my third day in a row at bloomies- i'm sick of it!!  i want to come home after work!

Lynnie- I know everyone thinks that Nordstrom has such great customer service, but our store didn't they sucked, they were plenty of things that people would be given a hard time about, not by me when I worked there, but by others. The sticker thing wouldn't have been an issue though, so hopefully you will be ok.

There should be no reason why you can't return it with a receipt.

Maybe go to customer service versus the section you bought it in?

I hope you get home at a reasonable time too!

chic- didn't go today.  maybe tomorrow after work since its a half day and i can't drive home til 4 or 5- i'm gonna call customer service first.  I went from Carrol Gardens, Brooklyn to Times Square, manhattan, in the rain wind and cold 3 times round trip today for work.  it was kinda poorly planned- i would get back and then have to run a few more errands, repeat.  Each way is 40 mins to 1 hour.  So in short, i've been on the subway for over 5 hours today and you couldn't PAY me to get back on it.  That would be another 2 hours (one hour each way.)  i hope it goes ok though- thanks for thinking of me!!
