This is me in the dress I'm wearing to my company christmas party. I don't know if I need to have it taken in about an inch down the sides starting from right below my waist. It tends to do this poofy thing around that area and I just don't know.
What do yall think? I tried to stand normal like I did when I noticed the poofy thing but I can't tell if you can see it in the pic.
(please ignore the mess of the hair and the tired look - I just got home from work )
What a cutie! You have a sweet smile. I love that dress on you - but I do think a small alteration would make it fit that much more perfectly. I am a fiend about fit though, so I may obsessing about small details. It's a great holiday dress!

i think it looks really nice. i can see what you are saying, that it looks a tiny bit bunchy around the waist, but i would be afraid that if you did take it in, it might then be uncomfortable when you are sitting because it might pull. i think it's a personal preference thing--if it makes you feel more confident about it, i think you should get it taken in. but honestly it looks just fine, and for comfort, i might be inclined to leave it alone, if it were me.
I see what you're saying, but probably only because you pointed it out. I just don't notice minor things like that unless it's been shown to me. Personally, I like a little breathing room, so *I* would leave it alone. I think it looks great on you!
Thanks for the input. The area I'm actually talking about taking in is halfway between my elbow and wrist on down to the bottom of the dress and leaving the waist area and up alone.

Well, in that case, no! I think if you alter it there, it might not have the same fifties vibe it has now. I'm not seeing every angle, and in person, but in your pic it looks great!
