STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

Here's a brief recap I pulled off the website:

"It's Thanksgiving at Seattle Grace Hospital but the holiday's festivites are less than in order. Meredith and Derek try to counsel a family after their relative has had a seriously traumatic accident. The woman doesn't respond well to the ideas of medical diagnosis and treatment. Izzie is planning a big get-together but the RSVP isn't going so well. George goes turkey-hunting with his family. All that and lots of general socializing among the interns."

I watched it - it was a pretty good episode.  Basically, Izzy threw Thanksgiving dinner and everyone ran out on her because they didn't want to be there.  Christina showed up w/Dr. Burke who ended up cooking Thanksgiving dinner because Izzy didn't know how to.  Grey ran out of the house and volunteered to work that day.  McDreamy's wife suggested having sex finally that night and McDreamy said he'd meet up w/her later...he went to the hospital and him and Meredith ended up having a patient that woke up from a coma after 16 years to find out that his wife had remarried and his son was all grown up.  It was really sad.  They gave him the option to have surgery which could be life threating because he has some sort of contusion on his head or he could not have surgery and hope the bleeding stopped.  He figured his wife and son didn't care about him anymore, so he chose the surgery and died on the table. We found out Meredith is still feeling alone and miserable.  All she did was whine the whole episode!  Other than that...Thanksgiving dinner went well..Burke taught Izzy how to cook.  Christina kept trying to find booze, George had to go shoot a turkey w/his redneck father and 2 brothers.  In the end, Derek and Meredith were sitting on a bench outside the hospital together, and she told him she was proud of him for trying to work it out w/his wife because that meant she wasn't wrong about him.  He thanked her and she said "goodbye Derek" and went to Joe's bar.  Where she met some new guy.  Derek showed up and home to find Addison crying and she asked him if he was done hurting her yet.  He ended up kissing her.  That's pretty much it.  Hope this is a good enough recap! 

 

Woohooo!  Thanks for the recap!  I love George too.  He's just great.  Meredith gets on my nerves.  She's always pouting and whining about being alone, and it's just like hello!  Who wants to be with you when you're pouting and whining!  I just want to shake some sense into her.

Yeah, I'd be a little crushed, maybe if he said that to me. I told my husband, I don't know if I really really like Addison or hate her guts out. i really don't want to feel sorry for her because she is a cheater, but ....

I don't want them together, but I don't want him with Meredith either. #1 because she is a total whiner #2, i don't think i could take him back if I were her, despite the whole "honorable" point of trying to work out his marriage. #3 - they all need new love interests
and most importantly
#4 - THEY NEED TO STOP SCREWING AROUND, ACTUALLY PRACTICE MEDICINE & STOP KILLING PEOPLE.
