I'm looking for some new ideas for FH's stocking, and was wondering if you could share what you do!

My basic list consists of socks, Gilette blade refills, pens, candy, DVDs, CDs........but I'm hoping to get some new ideas!

I always get some of those silly $1 things in the bins at Target. Like right now they have yo-yos, playing cards, little games. And I got my DH a $1.99 Star Wars watch at Burger King & a mini etcha-sketch from Target. I myself LOVE pens & little pads of paper but maybe that's a girl thing. Last year my hubby put those new pens / highlighters that have little sticky pads built in - i thought that was the best thing ever.

Silly putty! Or they have these little lego sets that create a few critters for like $3 or $4. We are obviously juvenilles, but it makes the stocking so fun!

Here are some things I have done over the years---

play dough, cologne, sample size stuff for travel- soap and toothpaste, books, dvd's, c.d's, magazine subscriptions, pen refills, yoyo, dominoes, travel games---like yatzee, small puzzles, lighter for the fireplace, cards, coasters, tissues

gift cards for Itunes, the Apple store, Pizza Hut and Target, Barnes and Nobles

lint rollers, his favorite candy, airplane bottles, candle for his bathroom, keychain, tweezers, socks, boxers, fruit, nuts, magnets, cufflinks, swiss army knife, workout watch, Thorlo socks, samples of men's cologne I have collected throughout the year.

tickets to a concert or play

You can check out the travel section of Target or the dollar store has some good stuff.

I collect things throughout the year for my sisters stockings, hubbys and my parents. It is some much cheaper this way. I throw the all in a box and distribute between all the stockings.

This might take a little digging...but, my suggestion is to find out some little thing your FH always wanted as a kid, (My boyfriend wanted these plastic turtles from kinder suprise eggs) and try to find them! Apparently kinder suprise toys from awhile ago are like a collector's item now or something, and are all over ebay!

Such awesome ideas! You have reminded me that not every gift in the stocking has to be a "serious" gift -- I can go hunt down some cool toys for it, too. After all, my FH is a like a 6-yr-old trapped in a 23-yr-old's body. He even still plays with those K*NEX building toys lol!
