I liked the shrugs from A Common Thread earlier this year and I still really like them but I'm not sure if I should get one. These shrugs are $60 at my local Anthro.

I work in a "creative business casual" office (wear whatever you want as long as it's not jeans/t-shirt/sneakers/flip flops) and have worn sequins to work in the past. Should I get one, or is this something that will be out of style too soon for me to get much wear out of them?

I loved those shrugs when I saw them at anthro this past spring- I think you should totally get it! That seems like a good price too- I thought I remembered them being more like $100. I think you could make this shurg work past this season. It is sorta trendy, but I don't think overly so- as long as the rest of your outfit is pared down, I think you could make it work for seasons to come.

I really like it.  I think the tie and the sleeves actually make it look more like a kimono style top and less like a shrug, so I think you'd still be able to wear it even after the shrug thing is over.
