I actually like the look of it better when it is carried like a tote instead of shoulder bag but I like it nonetheless

The modern girl has a lot to do.

Run to the post office, make a bank deposit, pick up a gift, go to work, hit the gym... And we have to lug around all the gear and supplies we need to make it all work! Not to mention we just can't get through the day without our water bottles, makeup kit, magazines, and iPods.

No wonder half of us run around like a "Glamour Fashion DON'T" carrying 5 bags in one day; one for each of the activities we have to check off our to-do list. You could just carry one huge bag, but somedays we only have 1 or 2 activities which means we need to switch to a smaller bag so that our "one huge bag" doesn't look like a deflated balloon.

Thank {insert Diety of choice}, Anna Corinna (of Foley and Corinna fame!) came around to solve our problems for us. She's invented the "City Tote".... and she deserves some sort of Nobel prize for fashion. Do they give those out?

The City Tote is a large, roomy leather tote sack that brilliantly converts into a shoulder bag by simply folding over the top and using the shoulder strap. There are 12" zip pockets on both sides of the exterior and two 7" zip pockets on the interior of the bag. The leather shoulder strap is removable and the bag is lined in canvas. The bag measures about 20" across at its widest point, and 20" tall without the fold.

I choose the Butterscotch version, but Anna Corinna also offers the bag in a deep rich Espresso brown, a kelly green, metallic lilac, or white. Other colors may be available. The leather is on the thinner side and distressed all of which lends to a gorgeous slouchy worn in look. Overall, I think the quality is well worth it.

For years, I've been searching for the perfect "worn in", no-logo, classic, large leather bag. You know the type of bag you see in the office of some older classical musician, filled with old compositions and a lot of dust. Its wrinkled, the leather has a patina quality, it has a HISTORY. You ask the owner where they got it, and they say "This old thing? I've had that for longer than I can remember." THAT'S the kind of bag I've been dreaming of and this comes as close as I've ever seen!

I was concerned that this bag would be difficult to "operate" but it's actually quite convenient. When the bag is on your shoulder, its easy to lift the flaps and dig out whatever you need. For super quick access, stash your keys, cell, and credit cards in one of the outer pockets.

The biggest drawback to this bag is the availability. For a short time this summer, Shopbop.com carried the bag but has not restocked. At the current time, the only place to get this bag is directly from Foley and Corinna in New York City. You can call and place an order which you'll receive in 3-4 weeks.

That bag is GORGEOUS!!!  I might have to look into getting one--I'm looking for a brown leather casual bag and that looks like it'll fit the bill!
