You know, one of those songs they play way too much on the radio that makes you cringe!!
Mine is "My Hump" by the Black Eyed Peas. When I first heard that song I thought it was just another teeny-bopper wannabe rap/ghetto-ish groups, but when I found out it was B.E.P, That pretty much sums up my mix of musical emotion! I LOVE their music, but this song is SOOOO bad!!
I guess I pretty much hate all Coldplay. I absolutely can't stand them. So bland and boring and whiney. And pretty much all emo. I can't even think of any bands for that one.
I don't listen to top 40 radio a lot but I HATE everything I've ever heard by that Pretty Ricky guy, especially that Your Body song. Seriously, it makes me want to cut off my ears, especially that part that goes:
And you can see in my eyes (yes sir) That I'm lookin for a cutiepie (yes sir) And we ain't gotta make love (yes sir) And we can just cuddle up (yes sir) But if she want me to beat it up (yes sir) Then dammit, I'll beat it up (yes sir)
Haha, I love My Humps! So fun. I guess I pretty much hate all Coldplay. I absolutely can't stand them. So bland and boring and whiney. And pretty much all emo. I can't even think of any bands for that one.
I agree! I really don't like Coldplay and I know people who think they're the greatest thing ever. Ditto on the emo part. I can't stand it and I just don't get their whole "culture."
I'm the only person in the world who thinks Dave Matthews Band is terrible. I hate his whiny, nasal voice. I also really hate that song that says something like, "Shake that thing, miss. Annabella shake that thing......Let's get it on 'til the early 'morn......" by some Jamaican sounding guy. It's just so monotonous and obnoxious.

You're not the only one. I'm embarassed to admit that I still enjoy a little Dave from time to time, but I think the general consensus among many music people is that it's lame stoner music.

You're definitely not the only one - I can't stand DMB - every single song sounds exactly the same to me. No offense to anyone that likes him, but it's just like college frat boy rock..which is not my thing.
I really, really hate anything by System of a Down..I think they are possibly one of the worst bands ever. Also, do you remember that song by a band name Nada Surf called popular? It's horrible! The guy talks and then ends up screaming..."I'm the football star, I'm popular, I'm the teacher's pet, I'm popular"
Oh!! I know this one!!!! R. Kelly's "Stuck in the Closet." It was like a 5-part video. It's about him hiding in the closet from his lover's husband. It's cheesy and sounds HORRIBLE!
I'm not a fan of emo either, and although I don't like the DMB, I did like Dave Matthew's solo album.

OMG - you're right - this is the worst song/video ever. What is so funny is that I asked the band I love that I got to meet and interview last week who they thought was the worst artist from Chicago and they answered R. Kelly and then the lead singer burst out in song singing "Stuck in the Closest" which was hilarious!
i really don't like my humps either. but it doesn't surprise me since i haven't really like anything bep did since fergie came on board.
i can't really think of anything that i hate. but that's due to the fact that i just don't listen to the regular radio, so i'm not forced to hear anything i don't like.
funny story about dmb, in college i was talking to this boy about them, to borrow a cc phrase he was a total white hat, and i remember saying the only song i liked by them was "crash" to and he replied, "oh that figures," in a total rock snob you can only appreciate mainstream music way. i thought that was so funny b/c it's dmb which epitomizes pop, not some band that creates edgy challenging music.
did anyone see the south park where they parodied scientology and tom cruise & john travolta were in stan's closet and r. kelly came and sang to them about being in the closet? it was hilarious and this thread reminded me of that. :)
songs i hate... there are so many, honestly. i hate most popular music - i can usually tolerate a song the first few times i hear it, but then after hearing it on the radio a thousand times a day i start to loathe it. topping the list of currently popular songs i hate is the new lindsay lohan song. cringe.
a few that come to mind that don't fall into the "currently popular" category are...
amazed - lone star
lullaby - shawn mullins (perhaps my most loathed song of all time)
anything by the band "creed" (shudder)
that jessica simpson song about the tee shirt
all i wanna do - sheryl crow
all star - smash mouth
this is heartless of me, but i also HATE that christmas song called "the christmas shoes" or something like that - it's so stupidly sappy that i actually get angry when i hear it.

OMG, I forgot about Creed smash! I loathe that band and did you hear Scott Staff now has a solo career - yuck!
I also recently heard a song by Nickelback who I think is awful...but their newest song is horrible..they lyrics go something like "look at this photograph..how did our eyes get so read, what the hell is on joey's head?" What kind of songwriting is that Not to mention the lead singer looks like a WWF wrestler!

Oh no! I loathe Nickleback and hate that song but somehow I forgot all about it. For some reason my husband loves it and once I was subjected to it for about half an hour straight. Every single one of Nickelback's songs sounds the same and they all just suck. There's another song on the new CD (I think it's called Animals) that's basically about this guy who gets "road head" and wrecks his car. Then they're "doin it" and they get busted by her dad. It's basically the most wretched thing ever.
I also hate Creed but I kind of forgot they ever existed. I heard a couple of the Scott Staff songs and I thought they were even worse than anything that Creed ever did.
i liked it when it came out but when you spend 8 hours a day in a car listening to the radio and you hear this song about 10 times you start to hate it!
i met scott stapp at a bar one night when he came up and started hitting on me--he had to explain who his band was, and then i kind of felt bad for him. he is somewhat nice, but that is one sorry band.
i agree that system of a down is possibly the worst band ever created.
"my humps" is the one that i always have to change the channel when it comes on, too--it's super-annoying to me. and i actually like the black eyed peas somewhat.
but the all-time king worst-song ever to me is that "breakfast at tiffany's" song. i don't even remember the band. GAH!!! horrible.

Seriously, who writes songs about road head and doin it and what is on jonny's head? How horrible! How do these people get record contracts when I know several talented unsigned bands??
I've got another one. A couple of weeks ago, I was channel surfing and I came across CMT. They were playing a video for this song called Honky Tonk Badonkadonk. I know I just said that the Nickelback song was the most wretched thing ever but this song is about a million times worse. I hate most country music anyway but this was beyond bad. I will post the lyrics for your enjoyment.
Turn it up some Alright boys, this is her favorite song You know that right So, if we play it good and loud She might get up and dance again Ooh, she put her beer down Here she comes Here she comes Left left left right left Whoo
Husslers shootin' eightball Throwin' darts at the wall Feelin' damn near 10 ft. tall Here she comes, Lord help us all Ol' T.W.'s girlfriend done slapped him outta his chair Poor ole boy, it ain't his fault It's so hard not to stare At that honky tonk badonkadonk Keepin' perfect rhythm Make ya wanna swing along Got it goin' on Like Donkey Kong And whoo-wee Shut my mouth, slap your grandma There outta be a law Get the Sheriff on the phone Lord have mercy, how's she even get them britches on That honky tonk badonkadonk (Aww son)
Now Honey, you can't blame her For what her mama gave her You ain't gotta hate her For workin' that money-maker Band shuts down at two But we're hangin' out till three We hate to see her go But love to watch her leave With that honky tonk badonkadonk Keepin' perfect rhythm Make ya wanna swing along Got it goin' on Like Donkey Kong And whoo-wee Shut my mouth, slap your grandma There outta be a law Get the Sheriff on the phone Lord have mercy, how's she even get them britches on With that honky tonk badonkadonk (Ooh, that's what I'm talkin' bout right there, honey)
We don't care bout the drinkin' Barely listen to the band Our hands, they start a shakin' When she gets the urge to dance Drivin' everybody crazy You think you fell in love Boys, you better keep your distance You can look but you can't touch That honkey tonk badonkadonk Keepin' perfect rhythm Make ya wanna swing along Got it goin' on Like Donkey Kong And whoo-wee Shut my mouth, slap your grandma There outta be a law Get the Sheriff on the phone Lord have mercy, how's she even get them britches on That honky tonk badonkadonk
That honky tonk badonkadonk Yeah, that honky tonk badonkadonk
(That's it, right there boys, that's why we do what we do It ain't for the money, it ain't for the glory, it ain't for the free whiskey It's for the badonkadonk)
I hate DMB too. I used to be a huge fan in high school, lol.
I have to admit I like some Coldplay stuff, but most of this album is the same as the others, which sucks.
I used to like Green Day and Weezer, but their stuff is so overplayed now... I just switch the station whenever they come on. I hate Beverly Hills!
I don't hear too much R&B in general as I listen exclusively to "alternative" and classic rock music stations. I actually hear My Humps for the first time a week ago, what a bizarre song!
