Going to a BBQ this weekend need to buy wine...

Only problem is that I have no clue what to buy!  I just want to bring the hostess a bottle of wine as a gift but I don't really drink wine so I don't know if what I would be buying would be good stuff or not.  Any suggestions?  Nothing too expensive, maybe around $20.

do you have a trader joe's?  or even a local wine shoppe?  i find that when i am not sure what to buy, the SAs at these stores are most helpful and have never picked a bad wine for me yet...

No Trader Joes here, but I do have a couple of places I could probably go and ask for advice.  Thanks for the tip :)
