Need ideas for increasing membership for marketing interview
Permalink Closed

I have a job interview tomorrow--it is a second one and I am in DC.

Didn't know if anyone might have some ideas or advice about how to increase membership at a Non for Profit for Retail Grocery Stores. The position is a Marketing Manager for Communications.

So any creative ideas to work with production teams to develop more effective promotional or marketing ideas and to create strategies for building attendance at Events and conferences?

This company acts as a liason to all vendors, retailers (huge and small), brokers, suppliers, etc. in the grocery industry to educate them on new laws on Capital Hill and technologies and strategies affecting the grocery industry.

Here are mine so far...

a mentor program or a Leaders of tomorrow program

a blog or chat room off their website so we could interact and read what topics were hot with retailers maybe with different headings like Marketing, Operations, Promotions, Holiday Ideas, Procurement, Software, etc.

Politics 101 education class for smaller retailers so they wouldn't be intimidated by Capital Hill.

Marketing to middle to upper management--directors and managers rather than just the presidents and boards of companies to increase attendance since these people also are responsible for budgets and could pay to go to events.
