The white part of my eyes have been yellow a really long time, I think since I got married 2 years ago.  I always thought it went away, but now I'm really worried about it cuz it never did go away.  I've never done any drugs in my life, not even smoked pot, and I rarely ever have an alcoholic drink.  What do you think it is?

I'm not sure what it is but I know that they make eye drops for that. My bought it once and thought it helped. They're actually blue in color which supposedly helps either make the yellow why or to give the appearance of white. I'm not sure what they're called. Let me do some research for you.

ETA:

Product Detail
Eye-Lite Eye Drops Refreshing Eye Brightener

Eye-Lite - For eternal youth in your eyes!

Eye-Lite is a neutral and inoffensive product, which acts only on the sclerotic (white of the eye), without affecting the pupil.

Eye-Lite soothes, refreshes and relaxes your eyes.

Eye-Lite is particularly helpful for tired eyes, irritated by smoke or lack of sleep.

Eye-Lite intensifies the natural sparkle of your eyes; the whites (or sclerotics) appear beautifully blue-white.

Eye-Lite is a sterile product, which can be preserved if the cap of the container is properly replaced.

Sounds like it could be jaundice.  Maybe you should talk to your doctor and ask him/her if you should have your bilirubin levels checked.

Jaundice is most common in newborns and people with liver problems.  Sounds like you are healthy otherwise, so I don't know...

Here is the Merck manual link:  http://www.merck.com/mrkshared/mmanual/section4/chapter38/38b.jsp

Here is a less technical version:

My coworker has this too. Everytime I talk to her I notice that the whites of her eyes are yellow, but I don't know if she notices it or not...Anyway, you should see a doctor about it just in case.

it most likely is jaundice which is related to liver function.  one of the primary places that shows that you have too much bilirubin circulating in your blood is your eyeball (sclera).  there are many causes for this, so i would go to the doctor for further evaluation.  i don't want to scare you by saying definitely go to the doctor because it's probably nothing, but it does need to be evaluated.

let us know what the doctor says.

Thank you everyone for your advice & concerns.

My sucky doctor (whole diff't story) told me I had iron difficiency anemia few years back & gave me iron vits, but yesterday my daughter's new pediatrician looked at my eyes and said she's almost certain that I have Hemolytic anemia.  She said its common in Spanish & Mediterrenian families and hereditary, supposedly it skips a few generations here and there & I'm the one who got it.

I need to get tested & treated for the Hemolytic anemia not the iron-related, I could have serious reactions to rare foods.  She also said jaundice and severe lack of energy are big signs, which explains why lately I can't get up in the AM to go workout, even after a good night's sleep.  She recommended one of her colleage docs, so I get to see him in a few weeks.  I'll keep you posted.
