This morning when I was going to school the car in front of me braked all of a sudden so I had to brake. I sooo almost hit the car in front of me. I thought I was safe, but noo the car behind me hit my car. I called the police right away, but they told me if the cars were driveable there was no need for them to come. So we just exchanged information and I of course called my mom. So she arrived and she got the rest of the info.
I'm ok, but my car's back bumper is kinda falling. I hope they fix the car ASAP. I'm in school right now, because I don't want to miss.
ETA: yesterday, I left my keys inside the car and I had to call UHD police to open my car. haha. Gosh, I'm rolling with luck.
I have to say that I'm really suprised the police told you they didn't need to come and didn't come - that's really lazy of them IMO. If you have an accident and call the cops, they should come and write up a police report - insurance companies want to see that. It helps them settle claims, etc. I'm not trying to freak you out, because I'm sure your car will get fixed, but I'm just really baffled the police told you that. I'm glad you're ok
I called the insurance company right away and I told them what the police told me. I gave them all my information. They told me they were going to contact me back in two hours.
I hope my car is fixed by Tuesday since my bf is coming. I'm still really worried and I can't concentrate. I think I need to cry.

Oh sweetie - don't cry! Everything will work out just fine, and you're ok - that's the most important thing. If they insurance company doesn't call you back, just make sure you follow up w/them. Don't worry though - it will get taken care of.
I think the reason why the police probably didn't come is because you were rear ended and no one was hurt. Pretty much in every case the person who rear-ends the other is at fault. There's hardly any time when that's not the case. So they probably didn't feel like a police report was necessary. I agree it's kinda lazy of them though.
Anyway, I'm glad you're alright! That is such a scary experience. I say go have a good cry--it'll probably make you feel better, but just realize this wasn't your fault and that things are going to be alright.
Well Geico, the insurance's company of the lady, called me this morning and told me that they are taking care of all damages. It made me feel a lot better. My dad set up the appointment to take it to the body shop at 1:30 pm. So hopefully, by this afternoon I'll know if they are going to give me a rental car and how long it is going to take.
Right now, I'm driving my brother's Malibu. Gosh, I love his car!! lol
