Dumb Question about Film Processing

I'm so mad - I went to Walgreens tonight to pick up the film I dropped off last night for next day processing and the lady behind the counter tells me they aren't ready yet.  I asked why not (since I asked for next day) and she tells me that their machine to print the photos out is broken, so they are waiting for the Tech. to come out.  I ask when that will be and she shrugs and says she doesn't know - hopefully tomorrow.  Grrrr Anyhow, all I want to know is there's no way my pictures will be harmed or anything right?  They'll be fine once the machine's fixed?  Normally I wouldn't care this much - but this, of course, is my roll of film w/pics of me and that band I interview on Thursday

Honestly it is totally up to you.  I have lost a few great pictures because of the machines before and been devestated.  If I were you, I might go ahead and pick up the film and take it elsewhere.  But if you do leave it, let them know you want some compensation since they failed to deliver the next day.

I actually already asked them for my film back, and they told me they had already processed it, they just weren't able to print it yet, because that part of the machine was broken.  Do you really think my film could be damaged?   I didn't think so because they just had to print the pics??  God, I hope not - I'll cry


I did already tell them that I'm not paying full price since it's not next day service.
