ETA: Texasgal, are you happy with the leather on your bag? I talked to CS at Handmaid to ask about the leather on the black vs. brown bags since the black looks shinier online. She said the brown leather has a more matte finish and is more wrinkly, and the black is smoother and has the same consistency as the purple and teal versions. I got black, so the leather should be the same as your teal ...?

Thanks CC! Crap, now I love it and I need to buy it. I was secretly hoping that it would not fit over my shoulder and I wouldn't like it anymore!

I love my bag but to be honest, I was a little disappointed by the quality of the leather when I got it...but I think it's cause I was spoiled by my buttery soft Bulga. Anyways, I have the teal one and I'm happy with the look of it...it's not really shiny but it's not flat matte either...and it's a bit wrinkly...it's definitely not a smooth, polished leather. I hope that helps...although I'm not the best at descriptions and I am by no means a leather expert.
