I live in central Iowa, and Saturday, most of the state was under Tornado Watch, and at one point, 5 counties were under warning (including mine).  A tornado touched down in my town and destroyed 1 house and damaged others.  Also took down trees and power lines..


There was also a football game going on that day, and they had to evacuate the whole stadium.  I guess our team is called the Iowa State CYCLONES for a reason, LOL


This pic is the tornado that went through Ames (my town); It was right by my parents house and they could see it from their windows..

wow.  i grew up in the midwest, but have never been scared of tornadoes until i saw that picture.  i couldn't imagine one being that close to me.  craziness.

Well, here's the freaky thing too: This tornado destroyed only one house in my city, and the family that lived in that house had JUST shut their basement door when the tornado hit it.

That would scare the utter shit out of me
