Should I keep or return? **picture included**

I just found this DVF wrap dress on clearance for $80, originally marked $298. However, it's about one size bigger than my regular size and plus I'm not sure about the loud print. It's a leopard print with splotches of teal and purple. Is this dress wearable or was I just blinded by the sale price? If you saw someone wearing this dress, would you think that it looks tacky and hideous? Despite the loud print, this dress is surprisingly flattering. What do you think? Here's a picture of me wearing it, since I can't find one on-line.

Fit-wise, I think it looks fine. Print-wise, it is a bit loud, but not hideous. I think $80 for a dress is a pretty good price anyway, not to mention it's a DVF.

If I were you I would keep it until the return limit, and if you're still not sure about it then, return it.

Even though $80 is a great deal on DVF, I don't like the print and personally wouldn't wear it enough to jusify keeping it.

I must agree.  There's so many wonderful things out there!!  Return it and go shopping!

It's a bit loud for my taste, but here are a few questions I ask myself when I'm wondering if I'm blinded by a sale price:

*  Would you pay full price for it?

*  Pretend you don't know who the designer is.  Do you still like it?

*  Pretend you don't know what the price is.  Do you still like it?

*  Where would you wear it?

The thing that makes me think you are blinded by the price is the fit.  You say it's a size up from what you would normally get.  Since a lower price would presumably fit you better, it seems like you're settling for a lesser item because of the price.  If that's the case, then you probably won't get any use out of it.

I think it looks alright on you, but I kinda think you could do better.

Sorry, I hate to say it, but I agree also.  It's very "any of the women in the movie Goodfellas when they all started doing coke in the 80's and Ray Liota redecorates his mistresses apartment in like teal and pink"  Short version, kind of 80's.

NCshopper asked some great questions! Answer those and that should tell you....

On the other hand- I LOVE that dress and would have quite fun with it if it was in my closet!!

I like it and I think it's fun. It's probably not something you'll want to wear often though, because it is very memorable. NCshopper listed some great questions (I'll have to remember those) though, and if you feel even a little bit awkward or uncomfortable in it, you should consider returning.

I vote for ebay-ing it.  I bet you could make a nice profit off it .  It's cute but it doesn't seem like you are that sure of it.
