Our chocolate lab Cocoa has been diagnosed with a tumor in her pancreas. We thought she had just swallowed a rock again, and it wasn't moving, so she would need surgery to remove it, but it turned out that it's a tumor. We're taking her to a specialist today to find out what our options are. My boyfriend is taking it really hard, she's been his dog for 8 years, since she was a puppy. Needless to say, it's been a long week. We've been taking her back and forth to different vets, animal hospital, etc. all week. I wasn't sure whether to post anything about it, since it's so personal, but, I thought that maybe if I posted someone might have some info on this.
Oh, Beachgirl, I'm so sorry. I don't have any info for you, but I feel so bad for you. We have 2 labs, and they are just the sweetest dogs. I hope he gets better soon.
Just like everyone here prayed for my kitty.. I will be praying for your pup! My thoughts are with you and I hope you only get good news from here on out!
oh, I am so sorry for your poor puppy! She is in my prayers. I wish I had information for you... if you haven't already, you should try searching the forums at i-dog.com - the people there are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Poor, sweet puppy. Your anxiousness should lessen a bit once you've got more information on her condition. For me, the worst part is the shock of hearing the diagnosis, but don't give up hope. Smother her with love!
