Riding/Equestrian Style Boots
Permalink Closed

I am sure this question has been asked before but I am still on the hunt for the "perfect' equestrian stlye boots. I want them in a distressed brown. I think I finally found hte perfect pair but I am afraid of how "long" they are. I wanted them somewhwat shorted so that i dont look like a hooker if I wear them with mini skirts.

These are from BEBE. has anybody ordered them? Seen them IRL?

Equestrian (sp?) style boots generally have shorter heel. I think if you wear them with tights and something more full/roomy on top you wont look like a hooker.

Thats what I am afraid about with these boots. The heel seems too high for me to be able to wear them with skirts. It looks like its about 3".

oooh!! I was about to "page" you. Thank you so much for posting these. Did you end up keeping them? I have been dreaming about these for a while but I am not sure if I should go ahead and splurge or keep looking.

if you kept them what other outfits did you pair them with?  What color is the one shown on your Thread Style post? IS that cognac or brown?

If you returned them, may I ask why?

Sorry for all the questions!!!

I had those Bebe boots in the brown in my posession for two weeks. Please note the calf circumference is HUGE compared to most boots. I normally need extended calf boots, but these fit like a gem. I would say the calf opening is at least 15".

The color in the picture is very true to life...really nice, rich textured brown. The heel is pretty high (4") but for a 4" heel, it is very comfortable because the heel is pretty solid. The whole boot is made of leather (sole/lining/upper) so they didn't really skimp on materials, but the leather used for the upper isn't all that soft. It seems to be fairly durable, though. They are probably worth the $219...I am just really cheap and would rather not pay full price for anything.

I wear a 7.5 most of the time, or an 8 if the company runs narrow (I have wide feet). I took a perfect 8 in these boots. I tried them on with miniskirts and they look cute with these boots as long as you wear tights and a chunky sweater/blazer/something not form fitting on top to counterbalance the sexiness.
