long necklaces getting tangled

I love the 60 inch necklaces and all of the layering, but how do you guys store yours with out them getting all tangled? I have collected so many different styles of necklaces in the past few weeks, they don't all fit in my jewelry box. My mom suggested using a kitchen utensil organizer in my dresser drawer. Or using a large message cork board on my closet wall. I was just wondering how you guys store yours?

my jewelry chest has hooks that I hang them from, but I also have this bad habit of hooking them onto the finial of the lamp next to the bed and letting them drape over the shade... I suppose I could be considered a decorative slob

I have a nice, unglamourous way of doing it:  I have a bulletin board in my bedroom and they hang off of thumbtacks

i made a martha stewart project that turned out really cute.  it's a glass spaghetti-storing canister with a cork lid.  i screwed tiny cup-hooks into the underside of the cork lid, and the necklaces hang on the hooks inside the glass canister.  no tangling and no dust.  and they look pretty because you can see all the colors hanging inside the glass.

I have an "over the door" rack on my closet with a dozen hooks and I hang them on those.
